Greenland, Denmark Say Sovereignty Safe Under New US Security Deal

Late Friday, the U.S., Denmark and Greenland confirmed they had struck an agreement allowing Washington to build up a substantial military presence on the island, while also blocking any of America’s adversaries from establishing their own bases there. Exactly how far that military presence will extend, and whether Denmark is giving up any real authority over Greenland’s foreign policy or natural resources, hasn’t been made public yet.
