His demand for safety audits of PG and hostels and construction of new hostels comes a little after a five-storey building being used as a private boys’ PG, known as “Hostel Daze,” collapsed while renovation work was underway. In this building collapse, seven people died, including five students, and five others were injured. A rescue operation continued for roughly 27 hours.
