Spider-Man: Brand New Day might have had much more impact than just continuing Peter Parker’s journey. Eagle-eyed Marvel fans reckon the film has quietly introduced one of Spider-Man’s most important allies, and potential successors, in a blink-and-miss classroom scene that has set social media abuzz. The fourth iteration in the superhero franchise brings back Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, along with Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Sadie Sink in her MCU debut. However, the particular so-called character tease is grabbing enough attention too. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Brand New Day sets up many events ahead of the big release of Marvel tentpole Avengers: Doomsday in December 2026.
