AIIMS said the teenager, who had a complex congenital heart condition, suffered a cardiac arrest after severe cyanosis in the early hours of September 1 and was declared dead at 5:06 am. The institute said an autopsy is under way and that the inquiry panel will assess the medical records, treatment and events preceding the death. “The Director, AIIMS, New Delhi has constituted a committee to examine the matter in detail, review the sequence of events and establish the facts,” the institute said in a statement.
