As CBSE Implements Three-Language Policy, AISHE Data Shows Indian Languages Lead in Higher Education

Hindi became the most preferred Indian language with 220,305 enrolments among the PG students, followed by Bengali (42,436), Sanskrit (34,602), and Urdu (20,416). While English secured the most enrolments at 257,375, followed by French (800), German (158), and Spanish (75), among the foreign languages as per AISHE 2023-24 reports.
