Swiss Regulator Investigates Google For Removing Android Search Choice Screen

Due to this, the Google search engine is imposed as the default option for Swiss users. Google also said it was aware of the investigation. One of Google’s spokesperson said, ‘We look forward to cooperating fully with the authority to address their questions.’ Furthermore, in a digital market, default settings play a crucial role, as mentioned by COMCO. The regulator also said that removal of the option will ultimately limit visibility of other search engines in competition with Google when users are setting up their devices.
