In a lengthy post on Truth Social Saturday, Trump framed the move as a way to protect the AI industry rather than restrict it. He wrote that the government would not hinder or stifle the industry’s growth in any way, and instead pledged to cherish, support and watch over it as it continues to expand. At the same time, he said authorities would remain on the lookout for bad actors, arguing that existing criminal and civil justice systems already give the government the tools needed to do that.
