After Prada and Ralph Lauren Fiascos, YSL's Gilded Women's SS 27 ⁣Line Feels Suspiciously 'Desi'

If you’re still on the look out for this year’s festive fits and happen to have a fat budget – look no further than the Yves Saint Laurent Women’s Spring/Summer’27 line. The ready-to-wear line by Anthony Vaccarello was showcased earlier this week, on September 29, at the Pace du Trocadero near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, as part of the Paris Fashion Week proceedings. The theme was entirely gilded save for a black interlude towards the end and the ensembles, thoroughly maximalist. The showcase was stunning no-doubt – it is after all, hard to commit to a singular palette for as many as 59 looks, let alone have each turn your head for completely different standout details. And we don’t mean to be the kind of fashion afficionados that look at gold and see red, airing claims of unattributed inspiration. But take a beat, and truly look at the cuts, colours, texture and shimmering emboss work: save for the Caucasian and Black models and the ‘YVES SAINT LAURENT’ tags here and there, do these not look like something right out of your ethnic, or at the very best, fusion wardrobes?
