Long jumper Ancy Sojan continued her purple patch and she clinched a silver medal at the Asian Games 2026. She came up with a best effort of 6.53m. Ancy was leading the table and was close to winning the gold medal. But China’s Huang Yingying pipped Ancy with the best effort of 6.55m to win the gold. Shaili Singh, who was in contention to win the bronze for a long time, moved down to fourth towards the final few attempts to miss out.
