The season of long weekends and festivals has arrived in India. With Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra being among the most important days in October, filmmakers have blocked the best dates for theatrical releases. The upcoming month begins with Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Drishyam: The Conclusion and Veer Pahariya’s Prem Keetanu. Other big films of October 2026 are Ayushmann Khurrana-Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer and Yami Gautam’s Nayyi Navelli. Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is also scheduled to arrive next month after a delay.

Drishyam 3 – October 2
Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family are still reeling under the trauma of killing Sam. Years later, IG Meera Deshmukh (Tabu) is adamant on proving him guilty. However, Vijay is determined to protect his family. In the third and concluding part of the blockbuster crime thriller, Rajveer Singh Tomar – SP Crime Branch, joins to investigate the case. Drishyam 3 or Drishyam: The Conclusion is directed by Abhishek Pathak. The film releases in theatres on October 2.
Prem Keetanu – October 2
Veer Pahariya returns to the big screen after a year with Prem Keetanu. It is his second film after Sky Force in 2025. Prem Keetanu, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, is about a group of college students who navigate through the highs and lows of life, love and career. The film releases on October 2.
Udta Teer – October 9
Udta Teer, directed by Aakash Kaushik, is a comedy that follows the story of a Pakistani spy who enters India as a part of a larger mission. However, an accident wipes off his memory. He becomes an Indian patriot. Udta Teer stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Sandeep Anand, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Smita Tambe.
Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam – October 16
Prahaar is Advocate Ujjwal Nikam’s biopic. He appeared against Ajmal Kasab in the trial of the 26/11 Mumbai attack case. Rajkummar Rao plays the lead character. Lalit Prabhakar is Kasab. Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher are also in the film, directed by Avinash Arun. The biopic releases on October 16.
Nayyi Navelli – October 16
Yami Gautam heads Nayyi Navelli. According to the official synopsis, the film is about a ‘picture-perfect bride’ who transforms a chaotic Meerut household into paradise. Her brother-in-law suspects that his seemingly ideal sister-in-law may actually be a daayan (witch). Directed by Balaji Mohan and written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, Nayyi Navelli also stars Addinath Kothare. The film releases on October 16.
Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar – October 23
Luv Ranjan is launching six newcomers in Bollywood with his upcoming production venture, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. The actors headlining the film are Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber. It promises to be a fresh take on modern romance. Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar releases on October 23.
