The commission examined the impact of military operations and living conditions imposed on Gaza, concluding that they had resulted in preventable child deaths and widespread long-term harm. It said severe physical and psychological injuries, mass trauma, orphanhood, family separation, disability, repeated displacement, starvation, and the collapse of healthcare and education had effectively “erased childhood” in Gaza.
