The link isn’t only playing out in American courtrooms. Reuters reported on 21 November 2025, the Danish Patient Compensation association awarded a combined 800,000 Danish crowns, around $123,000, to four patients who had lost vision after taking Wegovy or Ozempic. A fifth claim was turned down. The association, an independent body that assesses patient claims on the state’s behalf, had ruled on five of the 43 claims it had received over vision loss linked to the drugs, and called the cases “very complex” to assess.
