Imagine losing your phone five times– and finding it absolutely untouched every single time! The term ‘lucky’ might sound like an understatement in such a case, especially in a day and age when robbery, theft, pickpocketing and other such crimes have become extremely common.
However, based on this incident going viral on social media, the case might be different in Japan. An Indian woman living in Japan, Pragati, allegedly lost her iPhone for the “5th time”- only to find it at the same spot where she had left it, every single time.
Taking to the internet, she shared a video in which she claimed that she is rather “detached” when it comes to her phone, which is why she ended up losing it for the fifth time. The clip showed her searching for it along with her husband using a tracking feature. To the internet’s surprise, she ended up finding the phone at the spot where she had forgotten it three hours earlier.
She claimed that theft is one of the frowned-upon crimes in Japan. The video immediately went viral, prompting a flood of reactions.
“I lost my iPhone 16 Pro in Japan AGAIN. And yes… this was the 5th time. But somehow, I found it AGAIN! Honestly, I feel like this kind of thing is only possible in Japan. But I’m curious… is this only me? How many times have you lost your phone and how many times did you get it back?” the post read.
