A man from Namol village allegedly consumed a poisonous substance outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Sangrur after accusing local authorities of failing to act against the alleged sale of drugs in his village. The incident has triggered a fresh political row in Punjab, coming days after the death of another Sangrur resident, Gulzar Singh, who had also raised the issue of drug menace.
