Similar to last year’s Men’s Asia Cup final, the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final ended in a similar manner. Harmanpreet Kaur and company, like Suryakumar Yadav’s team, declined to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the interior minister of Pakistan. As the controversy reappeared, only the runners-up medals were given to Sri Lanka during the trophy presentation event. Pakistan media is now revealing Naqvi’s stance on the issue.
