Back in Mumbai, a Punjabi family gets worried as their daughter goes missing. Shyam helps them find her in one of the vacant flats in the building. She is seen with her Christian lover, who also belongs to the same society. During a meeting, Pradhan convinces their families to accept their relationship and get them married. They agree, and on the day of the sangeet, Pradhan is killed by Parshuram, who manages to get access to his house. Shyam senses trouble. He goes to the retired judge’s house and finds him dead. He calls Hussain (Asrani), the guard, to verify. Shyam senses the presence of another person in the room and tries to nab him. However, he fails to catch hold of Parshuram. At Pradhan’s funeral, he gauges the room without being able to see and understands that Parshuram is there.
