What is equally telling, however, is who has not been called. The Congress high command has summoned Siddaramaiah, but there is no word for DK Shivakumar. No message, no summons, no seat at the table for Tuesday’s meeting. Shivakumar, who has been waiting for the CM’s chair since what his camp describes as a tacit 2023 power-sharing agreement, is sitting this one out, at least officially.
