The JCA CEO also pointed out that the governing body of cricket in Japan has provided support to the tournament, but it is not directly involved in the tournament’s preparation with the organizing committee (AINAGOC) as well as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) responsible for conducting the tournament. However, he claimed that the host city, Aichi Prefecture, had no cricket venue, and they had to start from scratch and prepare the venue within 17 months.
