What was possibly supposed to be a regular meal with eggs turned into a complete nightmare for a Swiggy Instamart customer. Allegedly, the customer in question had ordered a tray of eggs online through Swiggy’s Instamart. However, what he received was enough to leave him concerned about India’s food safety and quality standards.

Taking to the internet, the customer, Indian journalist Sushant Sinha, shared the horrible experience he had the moment he started cracking open the eggs, as “almost every egg” was badly rotten.

As per Sinha’s post, he had ordered the eggs from Dr Hen through Instamart. “What kind of life are we living? Ordered a tray of eggs from Dr Hen company via @Swiggy’s Instamart. Take a look at what came out in the name of eggs. Not just one—almost every egg turned out like this,” the post read.

Along with expressing his disappointment, he also shared a video of the rotten eggs. The clip showed the eggs badly spoiled from the inside.

“Even after paying all the taxes and spending more money, we can’t even get decent food. First, eat poison and head to the hospital, then fake medicines are waiting separately,” the post further read.

The video soon went viral, drawing several reactions online. Swiggy, on the other hand, has not responded to the matter so far. The article will be updated if the company responds.
