“The injured miscreant was immediately rushed to the CHC. After receiving first aid, he was referred to the District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment. Upon verification, the deceased was identified as Monu. He was wanted for the heinous crime of raping and murdering a minor girl, and a reward of Rs 50,000 had been announced for his arrest. Multiple cases are registered against him…a pistol, spent casings, live cartridges, and a motorcycle used by the miscreants were found at the scene…combing teams have been deployed to locate the absconding miscreant, and a search operation is underway,” SSP Kumar said.
