In a letter dated August 6, School and Mass Education Department Secretary N Thirumala Naik directed collectors to review the status of single-teacher schools in their respective districts and take urgent measures to deploy or adjust teachers. The aim is to ensure compliance with the provisions of the RTE Act, which prescribes minimum norms and standards for schools, as per the reports from PTI.
