As part of the enforcement drive, 1,37,053 telecom resources were suspended for 15 days following their first violation. Repeat offenders faced much stricter penalties, with their telecom resources disconnected for one year. In addition, the regulator blocked 2,873 SMS headers and blacklisted 263 senders for one year.
