The numbers have been tallied, and not only has Brand New Day matched Endgame, it has outperformed the Marvel superhero behemoth by $3 million. Instead of watching the Avengers and other superheroes, audiences went gaga for Holland’s Peter Parker. Of course, the Marvel and Sony co-production also features some other important Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters, including Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Florence Pugh’s Yelena and, of course, Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk. It also introduced Sadie Sink as the first new X-Men character, Jean Grey, under Marvel Studios.
