I Wasn't Into Academics, Sports Became My Life: Harsh Singh, India's First Male CWG Gold Medal Winner

Harsh: I started judo in my childhood. You know how kids play sports for an hour or two during school sports periods—at our school, Vinci Public School, they had judo. So, we used to go there for an hour or two just to enjoy ourselves and refresh our minds after studying, so everything felt great. It started off just for fun, but gradually it became professional. We will continue to do better in the future. Since childhood… I always wanted, and my family supported me in every way, to pursue sports. I wasn’t very interested in academics, so I preferred playing sports, and this is my life now.
