In a separate case, a 17-year-old aspiring woman cricketer allegedly died by suicide in Nagpur after reportedly struggling with disappointment over not being selected for a higher-level cricket team, police said. The deceased, identified as Aditi Chaukhande, was originally from Akola and lived with her mother and elder brother in Nagpur’s Laxmi Nagar area. She had recently cleared her Class 12 examinations and was training alongside her brother, who is also an emerging cricketer.
