The casting was a nod to a defining chapter in Indian fashion history, but the clothes belonged to the present. The collection “Chardi Kala”, marks House of Masaba’s first-ever bridal couture collection. The label returned to the runway after six years with a showcase that brought the essence of India into focus, celebrating its vibrant colours, cultural roots and rich heritage. “I want the world to feel the India I grew up in, loud, lush, unapologetically itself. And the feeling of ‘Still I Rise’,” said Masaba in a press statement.
