Pellet Guns On Delhi's Streets: What The Law Allows

Times Now has accessed a General Diary (GD) entry from Parliament Street police station showing senior Delhi Police officers cleared crowd-control munitions before the July 20 ‘Chalo Sansad’ march to Parliament, led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) student outfit. Logged at 1:24 AM, it records a Deputy Commissioner-rank officer clearing 55 non-electrical shells, 15 electrical shells, 5 tear gas grenades and 2 Anti-Riot Guns, and states that Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel fired pellet guns on his directions. A probe has been ordered, including into why the entry was logged two days late.
