Pradhan’s resignation came in view of the protests over the NEET paper leak and growing political pressure on the government. The Centre later held talks with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which announced that it would withdraw its agitation after the government accepted several of its key demands, including assurances on compensation, withdrawal of FIRs against protesters, and discussions on broader education and examination reforms.
