Gurugram is set to host the maiden edition of the Haryana Open from July 17 to 19, with The Horizon x Courtplay in Sector 58 serving as the venue for a tournament that carries far more weight than a regular state-level meet. The event has been sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) as a PWR 400 tournament, and the selection spots make it worth watching. Official berths to the Pickleball World Cup 2026, which is being held in Da Nang, Vietnam, from August 30th to September 6th, are up for grabs in the 50+and 60+ categories, meaning results from this weekend in Gurugram could directly shape who represents India this year.
The Horizon x Courtplay has quickly become one of the busiest pickleball venues on the IPA calendar, having already hosted a Pickleball Zonals event in June with a prize pool of Rs 15 lakh. The Haryana Open marks the venue’s first standalone state-level championship, and with a World Cup pathway attached to it, organisers are expecting a strong turnout of veteran players from across North India looking to punch their tickets to Vietnam.
