The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released the notice for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11 on its official website. Interested applicants can submit their applications through the official AIIMS examination portal before the prescribed deadline.
The recruitment drive has begun the application process for Nursing Officer (Group B) posts at AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutions. The last date to submit the online applications is 5 pm on August 13, 2026.
The recruitment will be conducted in two stages in a computer-based Test (CBT) mode, followed by document verification and a medical examination. The applicants should note that the number of vacancies will be announced separately.
Further, the selected candidates will be appointed as Nursing Officers in Level 07 of the Pay Matrix, corresponding to the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs 9,300-34,800 with pay grade of Rs 4,600.
Eligibility Criteria:
The interested applicants can check the eligibility criteria listed below:
- The applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on August 13, 2026. While, age relaxation will be applicable according to the prescribed rules.
- Candidates are required to possess B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing qualifications along with registration as a Nurse and Midwife.
- The applicants holding a General Nursing and Midwifery diploma are also eligible if they are registered as a Nurse and Midwife and have two years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds.
The NORCET Preliminary examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 12, 2026, while the NORCET Mains examination will be conducted on September 30, 2026. Both stages of NORCET will be held as computer-based tests.
How to Apply for NORCET-11?
The applicants can follow the steps given below to apply for the NORCET-11 examinations:
- Go to the official website of the AIIMS examination.
- Register for NORCET-11.
- Then, fill the application form by entering all the required details.
- Upload the required scanned documents.
- Pay the application fee through the given payment method.
- Submit the application form.
- Download the application form and take a printout for further reference.
Candidates should note that the selection will be based on performance in the Preliminary and Mains examinations, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
Application Fee Details:
The applicants are required to pay a certain amount of fee as application fee based on the category they belong to:
- General, UR, and OBC: Rs. 3,000
- SC, ST, and EWS: Rs. 2,400
It is to be noted that Persons with Disabilities are exempted from paying the application fee. Along with this, AIIMS has stated that application fees paid by SC and ST candidates who appear for the examination will be refunded once the results are declared, subject to verification of their category certificates.
