Watered, Weeded, Unnoticed: How Cannabis Survived in a Nagpur Public Park

Nagpur: Cannabis plants were allegedly found growing inside a municipal park in Nagpur, in a case that has put the spotlight on how the crop survived on government-maintained ground without being spotted. The plants were discovered at Gajanan Park in the city’s Ajni area. As a public park, the site is meant to be watered and looked after as part of routine civic upkeep, which is precisely what has drawn attention to the case. The question now being asked is how fully grown cannabis plants could take root and remain in a space that is supposed to be regularly tended.
