G.R.L., which is an acronym for Girls Rock Life, was founded in 2012 by Robin Antin, the founder of The Pussycat Dolls. Initially, it was counted as the new generation of The Pussycat Dolls, but it became an independent group. Lauren Bennett, Simone Battle, Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada, and Paula van Oppen were the original members of the group. The girls impressed people with their dance-pop, teen pop, R&B, and electronic influences, with energetic choreography and catchy, empowering lyrics.
