“I can’t talk about the deal; it’s totally up to me, and if there’s any news, it will only be good news. I don’t make bad deals,” Trump said when asked about the status of negotiations. The President later expanded on that position, stating that discussions were progressing in what he described as an “orderly and constructive manner” but emphasising that negotiators must resist pressure to secure a rapid breakthrough. “I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side,” Trump wrote. “Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes.”
