times now sting in ram temple donation case exposes cracks within trust, insiders question functioning reveals gold silver melting champat rai gopal rao

Fresh cracks have emerged inside the Ram Temple trust after Times Now SIT’s sting operation in the donation fund theft case. In a major development, voices from within the temple establishment have begun openly questioning the functioning of the trust. A senior aide to Supreme Court-appointed trustee Mahant Shri Dinendra Das has leveled a series of explosive allegations against Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and his close associate Gopal Rao, alleging irregularities in the handling of temple offerings and the functioning of the trust.

Mahant Shri Dinendra Das is one of the 15 trustees inducted into the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust following Supreme Court directions.

During the interaction with Times Now, Mahant Dinendra Das’ aide alleged that the problems began after Gopal Rao arrived from Karnataka. According to the aide, Gopal Rao allegedly brought in around 200 outsiders instead of employing local residents of Ayodhya and “taught people how to steal” from temple offerings.

Dinendra Das’ Aide Alleges Gopal Das Brought His Own People In Temple System

The aide further alleged that Gopal Rao brought his own nephew into the system and claimed that gold and silver offerings were packed into sacks and transported by train while he travelled separately by air. He also alleged that nearly 50 chartered flights were undertaken in a year.

Das’ Aide Questions Alleged Melting of Gold and Silver

Raising questions over the processing of precious offerings, the aide asked why the temple’s gold and silver were allegedly being melted in Karnataka instead of Ayodhya, Faizabad or Lucknow, where jewellers are readily available.

He went on to allege a possible modus operandi involving the transportation of gold. According to the aide, if a voucher was prepared for 25 kg of gold, 26 kg would allegedly be transported.

He further claimed that the extra kilogram could be retained if the discrepancy went unnoticed, while if questioned, it could be shown as covered under the documentation.

Mahant Dinendra Das Kept in Dark Despite, Says Aide

The aide also alleged that Mahant Dinendra Das was kept in the dark despite being a key trustee. “No one tells Maharaj Ji anything,” he claimed, adding that whenever the Mahant attempted to raise concerns, he was allegedly persuaded not to pursue the matter.

Aide Reveals Why Champat Rai Was Not Questioned Directly

When asked why the Mahant had not questioned Champat Rai directly, the aide alleged that channels of communication were deliberately blocked and that the Mahant became aware of these issues only after becoming more active in temple affairs over the last six to seven months.

Aide on Alleged Commissions

The allegations did not stop there. The aide also claimed that every month commissions were allegedly collected and further alleged that two truckloads of jackets meant for temple employees were diverted, with only 40 jackets eventually being distributed while the remaining consignment allegedly reached the residence of trustee Anil Mishra.

Breaking his silence during the conversation, Mahant Shri Dinendra Das said, “Just wait and see what all I say. Don’t provoke me. Whatever has to happen, Ram Lalla will decide.”

The aide urged the Mahant to speak publicly about the issue, saying Ayodhya’s image was being damaged and that those responsible, if found guilty, should face legal action. He further alleged that certain trustees were “looting the temple and allowing it to be looted.”

Times Now cannot independently verify the allegations made by the Mahant’s aide. The allegations are part of the channel’s ongoing investigation, and responses from those named should be included wherever available.
