Lacy had stated that Jean was the villain, but there was a reason for her madness. Sink felt that Lacy had the correct read on Grey, and she agreed with his characterisation. She added, “And then I was like, ‘Oh, wait. Yeah, people aren’t supposed to know that.’ But it was a day before it was gonna come out, and so he set me free in a lot of ways.”
