Maruti Suzuki announced that it sold over 1.47 lakh units in the domestic market during the month of June 2026, compared to last year’s 1.19 lakh units. This led to a remarkable increase of 24% year-on-year. The success can be credited to a range of Maruti cars across segments, including Alto, Baleno, Dzire, Brezza and Grand Vitara, which continued their strong run in the Indian passenger vehicle market by posting an impressive performance in June 2026. The major attraction of Maruti Suzuki June sales was the strong contribution from its SUVs. The company dispatched 61,726 SUVs in the previous month, compared to last year’s 47,947 units. For reference, the homegrown carmaker sells a wide spectrum of SUVs in the market, including Fronx, Ertiga, e Vitara, Jimny, XL6 and Victoris.
