The agreement, which follows a fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States, is expected to become the foundation for talks on Iran’s nuclear programme, sanctions relief and wider regional security arrangements. Writing on X, Pezeshkian thanked Majlis Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, members of parliament and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for their contributions to the negotiations. He argued that the document reflected months of sustained diplomatic effort and incorporated safeguards designed to protect Iran’s national interests.
