According to PTI, the minister said Karnataka has steadily emerged as a preferred destination for international universities due to its strong ecosystem of research institutions, thriving technology industry and innovation-driven economy. Besides UNSW Sydney, universities such as the University of Liverpool, Lancaster University, La Trobe University, Flinders University and Imperial College London have already established campuses in the state. He added that several more globally reputed institutions are expected to set up operations in Karnataka in the coming years.
