Jantar Mantar Protest LIVE Updates: 'Stand With Students, Demand For Pradhan's Resignation Fair'; Rahul Gandhi's Salvo At Centre

Jantar Mantar Protest Live Updates: Follow live coverage as the city is still fortified after central Delhi witnessed clashes amid the proposed ‘Chalo Sansad’ march organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday. Despite police action and the dismantling of tents at Jantar Mantar, CJP leaders vowed to continue the agitation until their demands, including Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, are met.

Meanwhile, the CJI has refused to hear a plea seeking action against police and said, ‘Don’t Waste Our Time; We Don’t Want to Watch Any Videos.’ However, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday agreed to urgently list a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging that the Delhi Police used excessive force against protesters during the CJP’s July 20 Parliament march.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the temporary closure of several metro stations until further notice amid heightened security arrangements. In a service update, the DMRC said that while entry and exit at the affected stations will remain closed, interchange facilities will continue to be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat.

The stations closed until further instructions are Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, and Shivaji Stadium. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow official DMRC updates for further information.
