A notable absentee from the squad was Sachin Yadav, who finished fourth at the World Championships last year. However, an elbow injury sustained at the Indian Athletics Series-3 in New Delhi has ruled Sachin out of the CWG, to be held in Glasgow from July 23 to August 2. The squad includes 22 male and 10 female athletes.
