Speaking to PTI after a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports, Singh dismissed reports suggesting that he had expressed confidence in the Prime Minister during the panel meeting. He said parliamentary rules prevented him from discussing the committee’s deliberations before its report is tabled in Parliament.
