Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests 2 Over Fake Stamp Paper Racket Worth Rs 62.2L Near Airport

In a major crackdown by the Mumbai Crime Branch against a suspected fake stamp paper racket, Unit 8 reportedly arrested two men from outside the Mumbai airport, leading to an alleged recovery of counterfeit non-judicial stamp papers worth more than ₹62.5 lakh. As per the investigators, the Crime Branch team had acted on specific information about the movement of fake stamp papers that they had received, followed by them laying a trap near the airport. The arrested accused have been identified as 37-year-old Rohit Jadhav from Badlapur and 46-year-old Narendra Ahire, a resident of Koparkhairane, Maharashtra.
