Police in Gulfport are investigating a shooting at a Walmart Neighborhood Market gas station that left two people dead and another seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the gas station on Highway 49 North shortly after 1:30 PM, where they discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to Gulfport Police, two of the victims later died from their injuries, while a third person was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently undergoing surgery.
Authorities said one person has been detained in connection with the shooting, though no further details about the suspect or the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released.
