The Kuwaiti military says the country is currently facing what it described as hostile missile and drone attacks, according to preliminary statements and regional security reports. Air defence systems were reportedly activated across Kuwait as warning sirens sounded in several areas.
Security sources and regional monitors reported that at least one ballistic missile was launched from Iran’s Khuzestan province, possibly towards Kuwaiti territory, although there has been no official confirmation regarding the missile’s intended target or whether it was intercepted.
The developments come amid escalating tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel, with Gulf states remaining on high alert over potential spillover from the wider regional conflict. Recent weeks have already seen multiple drone and missile interception incidents reported over Kuwaiti airspace.
