The usually bustling hill city, which witnesses a steady flow of tourists and vehicles every day, now presents a markedly different picture. Roads are quieter, tourist vehicles are largely missing and only a limited number of vehicles, mostly those bearing Meghalaya registration, are being seen on the streets.
