The latest incident comes after a parcel containing an explosive device caught fire at Leipzig/Halle Airport in July 2024, an event authorities suspected was linked to sabotage. Western officials have also accused Russia and its proxies of carrying out dozens of attacks and other incidents across Europe since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, allegations Moscow has denied.
