Trump's Economic Approval Sinks Ahead of Midterms, New Poll Shows

Only 26 percent of voters currently approve of Trump‘s economic performance, according to a new AP-NORC poll, a record low for his time in office. Even more striking, 65 percent of those surveyed say they blame his policies directly for the high prices they’re dealing with. For context, back in mid-2022, when inflation was at its worst following the pandemic, Biden’s economic approval sat at 28 percent, with 44 percent of Americans blaming his policies for rising costs at the time, according to Axios.
