The bonus footage shows Tom recalling Jon asking him to be in his audition. Tom recalled, “He was like, ‘Look, this is going to the people that are gonna cast you as Spider-Man, like a second audition.’” Jon went on to land the role of Punisher in Netflix’s Marvel series Daredevil Season 2. Later, the character also headlined a solo Punisher series on the streamer. In May, before Brand New Day, Jon returned for the Disney+ special, The Punisher: One Last Kill. Tom’s first appearance in the MCU was with Captain America: Civil War; he’s also led four solo films.
