The REPMUS demonstration also carried a political and military significance. Portugal’s President António José Seguro, who is also Supreme Commander of the Portuguese Armed Forces, inspected the MV7 during his visit to the exercise. Portuguese authorities described REPMUS as a large-scale environment for testing unmanned systems, experimental tactics, updated vehicles, software and integrated payloads.
