Neeru: It was a moment of immense pride. When the last shot was left, I was feeling excited that the gold was coming, but I still kept myself calm thinking, “No, I have to give my best, I have to shoot this shot to the best of my ability as well”. And after that, the way my coach threw the umbrella was quite something; I saw it in the video later! It felt really great to win gold, win India’s first individual gold medal—it means a lot. Taking our nation’s flag to the top was a super feeling.
